Amerika in the Bardo, was shot during the Spring of 2020 during the Covid lockdown in New York. It speaks to the uncertainty of the nation suspended in a liminal state-- between past and future. The Bardo, in Tibetan Buddhism is the intermediate state of existence where consciousness travels after death and before rebirth. It is a holding "crossing over" state.
